Luna is a therapy dog for Hough Elementary School in Vancouver, WA.  The blog, HoughLovesLuna, was created for our students and community members to keep up with the latest and greatest for all things that have to do with Luna.  Luna was purchased by The Hough Foundation.   She is living and being handled by Melissa Cantwell, the Learning Support teacher at Hough Elementary.

Luna is a Teddybear Goldendoodle and was born in Alabama in January 2017.  She was hand picked by a behaviorist to be a calm, therapeutic dog.  She has been well socialized with kids and other dogs.

Melissa Cantwell is the Learning Support teacher at Hough and will be taking care of Luna and bringing her to work.  She has been teaching at Hough for 12 years and has two kids that attend Hough as well.  Melissa is a special education teacher and works with all students in throughout the building.

We hope you enjoy this journey with us!
